My Big Mouth

May the words of my mouth

and the meditation of my heart

be pleasing in your sight, O LORD,

my Rock and my Redeemer.

Psalms 19:14

What if our words were like rain drops? Let’s say every word you spoke produces a drop of substance. Good words were sweet and sticky like sugar. They gave you life and energy.

Let’s say negative words produced bitter goo.It made your life sluggish ,slow, and weighted down. Like dark Tar.

What if this is not imaginary, but instead it was absolutely true? Well, it is true. The bible says:

The tongue has the power of life and death,

and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Proverbs 18:21

You see God tells us even from the beginning that our words to have substance when He demonstrated it by creating the World with only words(Genesis 1). Then he sent his son Jesus and called Him the Word Made Flesh(St.John 1).

Jesus demonstrated this when he healed the sick and cursed the fig tree.

I believe that God wants us to imitate him. He wants the things that come out of our mouth be good and sweet. The Word says:

For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.Mathew 12:34,Luke 6:45

If you examine your life and find that things are not like sweet rain drops, but more like Tar pits maybe it is time to change your words. I am not saying that you shouldn’t try to talk things out. Like sorting through problems. What I am saying is you should speak Gods word over those area’s in your life that needs the help of a savior. I have to walk this out everyday. I have to ,no matter how I feel or what I see as a negative circumstance in my life, Speak and believe the word of God over my life and the life of my children.

Start speaking the things of God over your life and you will be amazed at what will happen.God is faithful to his word and if you speak it over your life and your circumstance you will see life spring up in it.

Friendships

ImageFriendships are some of the most rewarding of all our relationships. A true friend that loves and cares about you is  always honest and truthful with you even if it is something that is hard to hear.

They pray for you, walk through the valley with you, dance on your mountaintop with you, and fight the enemy with you. Kind of like Zena warriors. The understand your greatest fears and they help you face them. My Friends, as few as they are, have been some the most important relationships I have ever had.

So what do you do when you lose one? My very best church girlfriend is moving. I am happy for her because I know that God has something honestly wonderful waiting for her where she is going. The thing is she feels irreplaceable in my life.  My heart is happy and sad all at the same time.

Today I just want to take the time to let my Friends know that I appreciate everything they have ever done for me. Thank you for letting me vent, for giving me good Godly advise, for all the times you prayed for me and with me. Thank you for wiping my tears and loving me through some of the most difficult times in my life. I am so glad God Gave you to me to be my friend.

To my friend Penny: Thank you for always being open and transparent with me. Your flaws were some of the most beautiful things to me, and your perfections were honest. I will miss you most tarriably. Your frienship has been very valuable to me and I miss you already. Hope that you feel the same about what kind of friend I could be to you.

I pray that God blesses your journey, not just to where you are physically going, but also the positions to where Lord is setting you up. He is just good like that. I pray that he watches over your family. That God  brings unity in your Marriage and a new closeness  in your family . I pray for complete Surrender in your heart for Gods plan. And may any traials you may face be swift and few. In the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen

Good To Be Here

I am reading the “battlefield of the mind” by Joyce Myer. So, I am practicing being positive. , Well,It is just good to be here.

Could you imagine not being here? what would this world like without you? How much do you bring to this world everyday? do you bring challenges to others by being selfish, or a downer, or a complainer? It is ok if you do, I think we need these people to make this world a better place. It help others grow in patients and grace. But, will it help you grow as a person if you are like that? Not unless you are trying to do better in this area of your life.

Have you ever listen to commentators on t.v. or talk radio? they are usually very negative. They always seem to look at the dark of everything( at least the subject matter at hand to them). Not often do they look for positive stories to talk about. The difference between us and them is they get paid to be that way. They are paid to take oppositions( in which I sometimes agree with), but they challenge us to think.

on the other side do you bring joy and happiness to people everyday?do you just naturally ” light up a room”? I know people who are magnetic. People are drawn to them natureally. Not because they are really smart, or interesting, or good-looking even. But, because they are friendly, kind,&positive.

either way you are doesn’t mean you are a bad person or good person. Personally I have to make being positive a conscious choice to be positive. It doesn’t come naturally to me. I have met people who are very charismatic and positive people who do wrong things, and I have met negative people who would go out of their way to help others. So, I am not judging a person by their thoughts. I leave that to God. He’s parental advise to us is this Proverbs 23:7(a) as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. makes you want to be more positive, doesn’t it?

I want to challenge you to think consciously and then determine are your thoughts positive or negative.Keep track this week and see if you are a positive or negative person. then comment
